The Power of Sholawat in the Month of Ramadan, This is Fadilah

In the last days of Ramadan, Muslims should increase their prayers to the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam. The following secrets and virtues are explained by Habib Ahmad bin Hasan Alaydrus.

In the Qur’an Surah Al-A’raf Verses 8-9 it is explained, that whoever weighs the scales of their goodness, are the lucky ones. And whoever is light in weight, then those are the ones who harm themselves.

Al-Habib Ahmad bin Hasan Alaydrus in one of his lectures said, one of the practices that can weigh a person’s scales on the Day of Judgment is praying in the month of Ramadan.

“People who are diligent in reading sholawat in the month of Ramadan, then Allah will weigh the scales of their deeds of worship. Even though later on the Day of Judgment many acts of worship will actually be reduced to light,” said Habib Ahmad Alaydrus.

What do you mean? For example, the reward is like this, the deeds of worship are like this, then on the Day of Judgment in Padang Mahsyar later you will see, if he is not sincere, then the reward will decrease a little. When he is arrogant then it is reduced again a little. At that time he was showing off, then less and less again.

So, for people who multiply prayers in the month of Ramadan, Allah will weigh the scales of their reward. This means that the scales of his deeds will increase on the day of Hisab. Moreover, the prayer that is read coincides with Friday.

In the Hadith, it is stated that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said: “Indeed, blessings on the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam are among those that weigh on the scales.” (HR Al-Hakim and Tirmidhi)

Sholawat from Allah means giving grace. While from the Angels means asking for forgiveness. Therefore, believers are ordered to pray at least read a short lafaz like this:

للهُمَّ لِّ لَى ا وَعَلَى لِ ا

Allahumma sholli ‘alaa Muhammad wa ‘alaa Aali Muhammad.

Meaning: “May Allah bestow goodness and blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and on his family”.
